A really nice guy by the name Fernando Pereira joined our Discord server yesterday and told us about this game he's working on called Underlair. He showed us some early gameplay videos and I was blown away by the gorgeous graphics and great atmosphere. I assumed he was making the game in Unreal Engine but to my surprise he is using Unity. Me being a long time Unity user was fooled by the amazing visuals he have achieved, and it's not even using the HDRP pipeline!
One thing that sets this game apart from all the other recent dungeon crawlers and currently in development is that it will feature a co-op mode where friends can crawl dungeons together over networked play. This hasn't been done for decades and ever since Hired Guns on Amiga I've been dreaming of such a game to be made.
I can't wait to see and play the finished game and I am definitely on board the hype train. Choo choo!

Ferndando heavily draws inspiration from old classics like Dungeon Master, Eye of the Beholder and the more modern games in this genre. Wizards & Warriors is however the main source of inspiration, so if you like that game chances are you'll love this one!
